Property management and real estate in Bailey
Small, and building. New single-family homes are going up here, which is why we're actively working it rather than treating it as the edge of the map.
We do both here: we manage rental property for owners in Bailey, and we’re a full-service brokerage for anyone buying or selling. If you’re weighing whether to rent a place out or sell it, that’s one conversation with us rather than two.

Getting to know Bailey
History
Bailey was settled around 1860 and was originally known as Eatmon's Post Office before it grew into its own community. The town is believed to take its name from Drewry Bailey, a local landowner who ran a water-powered gristmill in the area. Bailey was formally incorporated on February 1, 1908, its growth boosted by the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, which laid tracks through the township and turned Bailey into a rail depot. The town's first school opened in 1910, and one local landmark from that era still stands: the Morgan School, a Rosenwald school built in 1925–26 for Black students in the segregation era, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Things to Do & Parks
Bailey is small, and it's honest to say its recreational offerings are modest. The main public green space is Bailey-Middlesex Park, a Nash County park with two soccer fields, a walking track, a sand volleyball court, horseshoes, a playground, and concessions. The biggest event on the calendar is the NC Sweetpotato Festival, launched in 2022 and held each May right on Main Street, with live music, a car show, a cook-off, and dozens of vendors celebrating Nash County's signature crop. For most other recreation, residents head into nearby Nashville, Spring Hope, or Wilson.
Dining
Don't expect a long restaurant row in a town of under 600 people — but Bailey punches well above its weight for a place this size. Tracy's Cafe on Deans Street is the town's go-to for breakfast, open early Tuesday through Saturday. Just down the road, the Leaning Tree Italian Restaurant brings genuinely authentic northern Italian cooking — the family behind it came directly from San Giuliano Nuovo in Italy's Alessandria province — with handmade pasta and a cozy, early-century house setting that draws diners in from well outside town. Right next door, Mary's Pizza serves up pizzas, subs, and wings for a quicker bite, and El Paso Mexican Restaurant, a family-owned Tex-Mex spot also on Deans Street, has been serving the community for more than 15 years. For an even wider range of options, Nashville and Spring Hope are both a short drive away.
