Property management and real estate in Spring Hope
Growing, with new single-family construction going up — one of two areas we're deliberately expanding into rather than waiting to be called.
We do both here: we manage rental property for owners in Spring Hope, and we’re a full-service brokerage for anyone buying or selling. If you’re weighing whether to rent a place out or sell it, that’s one conversation with us rather than two.

Getting to know Spring Hope
History
Spring Hope's story starts with a railroad and a name older than the town itself. In the mid-1800s, a settler named Crenshaw helped establish a small community near a cluster of local springs — the springs the town's name still nods to. That original settlement, now referred to as "Old Spring Hope," sat a few miles southeast of where the town stands today.
Everything changed when the Wilmington and Weldon Railroad pushed a line west from Rocky Mount in the 1880s. A depot went up along the new tracks in 1888, and most of the community picked up and moved closer to the railroad. Spring Hope was officially incorporated on February 24, 1889, built around that depot. The old freight and passenger station still stands on Main Street today, now home to the Spring Hope Public Library, and it anchors a downtown historic district with more than 150 contributing buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
Things to Do & Parks
Spring Hope's best-known claim to fame is the Spring Hope National Pumpkin Festival, held every year on the first weekend of October. It got its start in 1971, founded by Ralph Bass, Elmo Tant, and the local Chamber of Commerce, and decades later it's the longest-running annual festival in Nash County, with a parade, a giant pumpkin weigh-off, live music, crafts, and food vendors.
For everyday recreation, Spring Hope Community Park on McLean Street offers ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, picnic shelters, and a playground — the kind of low-key gathering spot where a Saturday afternoon just happens.
Dining
Don't expect a huge restaurant scene, but what's there has character. Memo's Pizza & Restaurant on East Nash Street covers the pizza-and-pasta basics, and Showside Restaurant is the town's go-to for a proper sit-down meal — a comfortable, local favorite for a full plate rather than a quick bite. For something lighter, Depot Delights on Pine Street brings a little nostalgia to downtown, serving hot dogs, chicken salad, and more than 20 flavors of snowballs out of a cheerful vintage-style shop that doubles as a gift stop.
